The Great Rift Valley is a part of continental fault system that runs 6000km across the Middle East and Africa from Lebanon to Mozambique (part of this passes through Kenya). Lake Turkana, the largest desert lake in the world, and is also home to Africa's biggest population of Nile Crocodiles. You can find the nomadic tribe ‘ Maasai’, who live around the valley. One of the rarest animals found here is the rhino.
